It’s hard to believe that a week ago I was in beautiful Utah climbing mountains and hanging on ropes. Isn’t it crazy how quickly experiences can come and go and almost feel like they didn’t quite happen??? I take that as a sign of a full life lol! One of the questions asked while I was away was “If you could wake up tomorrow and feel completley “Well” what would that mean to you? Many of said it would mean Limitless Energy upon waking and throughout our days.
This week has been jammed packed getting ready for our annual Biggest Winner Challenge, and I was really wishing for limitless energy! The Challenge is a lot of work, but I can say that it is well worth it! The thing that I love most about the Challenge is the energy, support and community that it brings to FitHouse. Often, in order to get energy, you need to expend it! It is a great reminder that we are all stronger TOGETHER, and our energy is magnified when we work together toward a common goal!!! I had a chance to talk to many of the new members coming in with the challenge, and there are so many common feelings that we all share. No matter who you are, where you are in life, how much weight you want to lose, how out of shape that you feel you are, our challenges are all often very similar at some level as well as the insecurities that we have.
I shared with the Challengers some of my top tips to keep the metabolism revved up and one’s health and energy at it’s best. You can check them out below.
Daily Habits for the Health of It, Weight Loss and Limitless Energy!!!!!!
- There are some key habits in nutrition that can boost your immune system, keep you energized, rev up your metabolism and help you lose weight. Try to incorporate these habits into your day to day living and see what a difference it can make!
- Start each day with an 8-10oz glass of warm lemon water ideally on an empty stomach 30 minutes before eating
- Go hardcore And add 1 Tbsp of Braggs apple cider vinegar
- Keep coffee to 1 cup a day and try to go black or sweeten with stevia
- Exercise! It is medicine for the body and mind
- EAT BREAKFAST! Make it high protein for greater weight loss
- Don’t go more than 3-4 hours without fueling (eating)
- Eat for the activity that’s ahead of you. Your biggest meals should be followed by your most active parts of the day.
- Try to incorporate veggies at every meal
- Add Green tea to your diet. Green tea is full of antioxidants and can help speed up your metabolism. Aim for 2-4 cups a day
- Do not Eat after 7-8 pm. Our bodies burning system changes at night. Eating too late can not only effect our waistline but also our sleep which affects our waistline!
- Aim for 7-8 hrs of sleep a night. Minimum should be six.
- Minimize alcohol. Maximum should be 2-3 drinks a week
- Think positive! Our bodies believe what our minds feed it! Make sure to feed it good food and good thoughts!
- BREATHE Deep! Take time throughout your day to breathe in and breathe out and be grateful for the breathe that you have today!
