We are excited to Celebrate One Year STRONGER all week with you at FitHouse!!  Stay tuned for new Classes on the schedule, Anniversary Specials, Give Aways, Anniversary emails all week long!!! 

A BIG thank you to all of you who were able to celebrate with us this weekend. It is not just a class, it is not just a workout, it is a COMMUNITY that represents living life to the fullest, with strength, confidence and happiness beside others that strive for the same! We thank you with all of our hearts for allowing us to share our passion with YOU and we look forward to year # 2 with YOU!!!!!!!!

When we are trying to increase our fitness level, lose fat or get stronger, it is important that we challenge the body with various types of conditioning. Here at FitHouse one of our top priorities is to provide you with fun, effective, high energy programs that are results oriented and deliver. In our efforts to do that we continue to add a variety of programs and different types of classes in the most effective formats to give you the opportunity to add variety and different types of conditioning to your program.

FitHouse Boot Camp June 8th-July 7th

Mondays 6 AM Next week (Replacing HIIT Intervals for 5 wks)

Mondays 9:15 AM Next Week (Replacing HIIT Intervals for 5 wks)

Wednesdays 6 PM (New Time)

Saturdays 8 AM (Replacing FitHouse Circuits for 5 weeks)

Rain or Shine it’s Boot Camp time! Whether you are joining the FitHouse Team for the Terrain Run training or just want to stay in tip top shape for summer. We will be taking it outdoors and this program will challenge both body and mind and you will have a blast! In addition to classes It will include beginning and ending measurements and endurance and strength assessments as well as a running program and nutrition plan for the 5 weeks (Extra Fee for this option). You are 5 weeks away from gaining speed, strength, endurance and agility and losing inches!

Next Level Small Group Training 

Mondays/Fridays 5:15-6 AM

Mondays/Thursday 10:15-11 AM

It’s no myth! One of the best ways to increase your metabolism and lose weight is to build muscle. The fastest way to do this is by lifting the proper amount of weight in the proper amounts of reps and sets to gain strength and build muscle. Next Level Training is done in a small group to provide individualized, hands-on instruction to maximize your results. You will work progressively in this program, set goals and nail them! Assessments and measurements will be done at the beginning of each month and nutrition support will be provided.

Small Group Boxing

Wednesday 5:15-6 AM

Wednesday 5:30-6:15 PM

We all know that Boxing is one of the BEST workouts ever! Cardio, Strength and Endurance are all wrapped up into one calorie Blasting Class. Put on those gloves and you will hit the bag, jump rope, jab, jab hook. Get ready to Fight!!!

FitHouse XTreme Jam

Tuesdays 6:15 PM-7 PM(replacing Barre Blast)

Fridays 6 AM Alternates with Barre Blast Every other week

There is no better way to increase your mood-boosting endorphins than with good music, good moves, high energy and sweat!  This complete combo will leave you feeling out of this world! Come and  burn some major calories and have fun at the same time!!!

FitHouse Takes Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis

Join us for a special workout and fundraiser dedicated to two of our own FitHouse members, the Belfiore’s, in hopes to raise awareness and support for Joe and Owen and the entire community. Click the picture and link above for more information on how Joe and Owen are taking steps with Pittsburgh to raise awareness. Any type of donation is appreciated.

As most of you know already, this is a personal goal for our family because the effects of Crohn’s have touched us. It has been over three years since Owen had his bowel resection surgery and since then he has been blessed by good health and great care! Please help us join the fight to raise funds and awareness for Crohn’s research! My family and friends will be participating in the Take Steps Walk in Pittsburgh this coming June, and our goal is to raise over $5000. Please help if you can. Join the fight to find a cure for Crohn’s!”

Recipe of the Month: Healthy French Toast – Your Kids Love French Toast don’t they?!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Milk of choice (preferably nonfat or almond)
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Slices of Rye Bread
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 100% pure maple syrup, to serve
  • Pinch of lemon zest, to serve

Preperation:

  1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon until well combined
  2. Heat a non-stick fry pan over medium heat and spray lightly with cooking spray
  3. Dip the bread in the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly
  4. Cook the bread slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned
  5. Serve the french toast topped with the blueberries and strawberries and drizzle with maple syrup and lemon zest, enjoy!

Yields 1 serving
