Greetings from Disney!!! We just wrapped up our last day here at Disney in Orlando and will boarding a plane early tomorrow. It was a great week, the kids had a blast, and although as many of you know, Disney is no day at the beach, it definitely is a lot of fun especially seeing the excitement, smiles and laughter that it brings to your children. There is nothing quite like seeing the look of excitement on your 2 year old’s face when they see the life size version of their favorite Disney character.
We didn’t have any snow here in Disney, but we did experience their coldest blast of the year with morning temps of 30 degrees and a whopping 50 degrees in the daytime. We will be coming back to the Burgh sporting a few extra Mickey hoodies, hats and gloves!
One of my themes for 2016 is “All In.” Some of you may have already heard me say this in class a few times this year. I wanted to make sure that I stuck to that theme this trip and that I was “all in” with my family!!! This past year was a really busy one for the Parker family. While we always make it top priority to communicate with each other, talk about how things are working and try to make sure that the kids understand the purpose behind a lot of the craziness, sometimes it is easy to get lost in the shuffle. I wanted to make sure that we all had a lot of quality family time with each other and also with my parents.
Some of you may remember days before our summer vacation 2 years ago, when my dad had a stroke. This past year my mother was given a false diagnosis that her liver disease was progressing and that her years were very numbered. We all lived believing this for about 6 months before a proper diagnosis was made. Things like this in life are huge reminders that there are no guarantees, time is precious and that we need to make time for what and who are really important in our lives.
We had so many opportunities to grow closer this week, create some awesome memories and get plenty of steps in on our Fitbits (about 30,000 a day.) There were many “Perfect Moments” on this trip, some with the kids, some with my parents and some with my husband. We don’t need trips to Disney to create those perfect moments but sometimes we need to take a step away from the busy agendas of life or the normal routine to be aware of and really appreciate those moments.
I did do a little work while I was away, but I really tried to stick to my guns and let my awesome team back in the Burgh hold the fort down!!! As expected they did a great job and I am thankful for each and every one of them! I managed to limit my Facebook, emails and texts to the bare minimum and keep my “All In” mentality focused on the family. As I was checking my email one night this video came through and really spoke to me. It came as the right time and in the right place and I thought it was the perfect share for all of you.Take a few minutes to watch
The Perfect Moment and make sure to make time for some of those perfect moments!!!!
Can’t wait to see you all this week!!!!! We’ve got some fun stuff coming up in February so stay tuned!!!!

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Coastal Carolina University and is a certified instructor through AFAA. Her focus is to provide unique, new, and challenging workouts to engage and drive her clients to push through something different and out of their normal routines and comfort zones.
